Happy Birthday Jase

Boy what a quick and wonderful year it has been. Although Jase's actual birthday isn't till Wednesday we celebrated it this weekend at my parent's house. It was so nice to have everyone there and Jase got tons and tons of awesome stuff. My sister even surprised me by coming down from Boston and not telling anyone she was coming except for my dad because she needed someone to pick her up from the airport. Jase is really getting to be a big boy. He just walks around every where and is now starting to pick up speed when he knows we are coming after him. He loves to dance whenever he hears music or when we sing silly songs. He loves to give kisses too. His little temper has died down and he hasn't been getting angry with us when we tell him no for several weeks now. He now has his forward facing car seat and rode in it for the first time yesterday on our trip back home. He acted like he had been doing it all along and really enjoyed being able to see out the front windshield. I have been looking forward to being able to see his face while driving and now that he is of "legal age" it's wonderful. Here are a few photos of the great Birthday event.
Here is a bib that Jason's mother made so that he wouldn't get cake on his handsome outfit.
I just love this photo of my mother decorating and Jase just walking around.
I saw a photo of a similar cake and my sister helped me recreate.

What a handsome Birthday boy!!!!!!
Part of the crowd that were there.
He didn't know what to think about everyone singing to him and this is the face to prove it.
Jason put his hand in the cake to encourage him to eat it and of course it went in his hair first.
He thought that the frosting tasted good but really had no interest in eating it. There were some other little hands interested in the cake though. (I see your hand Jack!!)

He didn't quite reach the pinata.
The kids going after the candy.
Here we are opening the qifts and we had a few helpers to open the gifts and throw trash away.
He pretty much took off after receiving this frog that lights up and plays music.
We are back at home and he was playing with his new toys this morning.

Happy birthday Jason!!! Today you turn one year old... Gosh! :-D

Btw. Is it legal to ride a one year old baby in a forward facing carseat in US? Here the children needs to be atleast 3 years old! The head is, at the age of one, still to big compared to the rest of the body and the neck cant take the impact if the car crashes.
We just turn Olivia to a forward facing seat.
