A local movie theater offers free kid movies every Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the summer. Soooooooo....Jase and I ventured off to the movies. I had already told myself that it would probably be disasterous and wouldn't last a minute. But to my surprise he lasted an hour and a half!!!!!!! I brought his little booster seat that he eats in and plopped him right in it. At first he was nervous and a little upset but I gave him a sip of his Sprite and he calmed right down. He sucked on his bobo, had his backpack on and watched the show. When the movie came on and the lights went out he opened his eyes real big and excited. He sat in the seat all by himself and after about 30 minutes he leaned his head on my arm. He stayed like that for a while until I pulled him out of his chair and sat him on my lap. He only ate a couple of pieces of his popcorn and told me yuck. At one point I tried to offer him gummy bears during the movie and he moved my hand out of his way. I wasn't sure if he would even like the movie because it was not a cartoon. We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks. I forgot my camera so I took this photo with my phone. What a great time we had!

Jase's language and communication is just developing more and more each day. It truly is amazing to watch this creature develop and grow. I have signed him up for a Mother's Day Out program starting in one month. He will go every Tuesday and Thursday from 930-130 (I will probably pick him up earlier than that because of his nap). I am really excited about him going and interacting with other children his age. It will be very sad to leave him there but he will have a blast! It will be a month before baby is born so I think it will give him enough transition time so that he doesn't feel like I have dumped him because new baby is here. I will still be watching the other child so it really isn't much of break but a chance for him to really get his social skills going. I am feeling great and 30 weeks pregnant. It truly is flying by and we just can't wait for this new bundle to get here. Still no name so don't think we have a big secret of some sorts.
Jason taking Jase for an evening walk through the neighborhood. He decided he wanted to wear daddy's hat and actually keep it on.
Jason was on the back porch doing bubbles with Jase and he decided that he wanted to jump in his little pool with all his clothes on. So Jason took them all off.
He loves to climb up on the chair and see if he can get away with standing up.

Our Weekend in Videos
I took Jase to a Jumping Zone and he loves it. Check him out trying to go up the stairs to do the slide.
A friend's friend was there and she helped me by taking Jase up the slide. He was excited and couldn't wait. Poor guy, I wish I could take him but the last time I did it I got a pain in my stomach so I probably shouldn't try it again.
For a while we were the only ones in the place but then several kids came in. Check out this little bully grabbing Jase's arm and not letting go. I tried to let him figure out what to do on his own. Finally the second time I had to intervene. What was this kid's deal????
He's real proud of stacking blocks, my precious little buddy.
This one is a bit long.
We bought Jase a toy that was something we knew he would love. We never buy him toys so this was special. He loves to watch Little Einsteins and see his response to opening the surprise. At the end you can see how he is signing "want/more" for us to open it. When it was time for a bath it was not a pretty sight when we had to seperate him from the rocket.

Disappearing Baby
My baby is becoming a little boy and oh it makes me happy and sad at the same time. He really is being able to communicate with us for his needs and wants and just for fun too. He is such a big story teller. He still babbles but there are more recognizable words mixed in. I was just telling Jason how great the basic signs have come in handy for us because otherwise we would have absolutely no clue as to what Jase wants. I used to use the sign "drink" often but then had not really done it since I just used the words milk for it instead and we know he knows how to sign milk. So the other day he was doing a sign that looked kind of looked like "mama" but that wasn't what he was saying so I just said "oh well." Then he did it again the next day and we figured it out to be "drink" and I just thought it was so neat that he has decided to use that sign now. He can recognize different cartoon characters now and can say their names, which can be interesting in the store, although he hasn't had a fit for any toys on the shelves. (I know it's only a matter of time.) He also likes to repeat what they do on the different shows. For instance, on the show Little Einsteins they pat themselves to make the rocket lift off and fly. So randomly he will start saying "pat pat pat" and pat his thighs, when the show isn't even on. I have even seen him on the monitor doing this in his crib.
This weekend was a nice relaxing weekend with just hanging out at home. We ran some errands and Jason repainted the mailbox and post. The neighborhood wanted all the mailbox posts repainted. Jase even helped out a bit but since he is so on the "go go go" he wasn't out there too long with Jason. Yesterday I was able to slip away by myself and I went to see Sex and the City movie. It was very funny and a few moments I almost shed a tear. I highly recommend it, even if you never watched the show which I rarely did. We also made a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond and have a funny story to tell as a result. We were at the checkout and Jase was too close to the counter and he was able to reach the display of these little pig key chain lights. http://inventorspot.com/pig_LED_keychain_light He reached over quickly and picked up a few but returned all but one of them which he held on to tightly. I tried to tell him to put it back and then I tried to negotiate with him, all the while trying to prevent a total Freakfest (as I like to call it). The cashier then tried to intervene and asked Jase if he would give her the key chain back. He thought about it and then reached over to the other key chains and grabbed one and handed the darn thing to her!! Can you believe he actually was able to think this up all by himself? I couldn't help but laugh but soon had to just take it from him and run out the store while he screamed his head off. We hope you had a fun weekend and enjoy the photos!

Fourth of July Weeekend
I will start off the blog with a picture of me and baby #two. This was taken Sunday while I went out to lunch with my mother. I am now 28 weeks preggo! 12 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!
This past weekend we headed to my parents house for the weekend. My dad had some landscaping projects that he needed Jason's help with. The men spent eight hours in the sweltering heat working on this project in the back yard. My mother and I took Jase to the pool Friday. He is so "strong willed" that it's a little difficult to enjoy our time at the pool. He will go in for a minute then want to get out and walk around then he has no fear so he thinks he can just walk into the pool unassisted. He will throw some major fits if you don't let him have his way. He ended up getting a nice goose egg on his forehead and scrapes on his knee and elbow as a result. Saturday I took him to go meet our blogger friend, Ava and her family. They were up from Florida visiting family so we headed to see them. Unfortunately I was unable to get a photo of the kids together. Maybe Meaghan was able to get a decent shot. Her blog is linked on the side of mine. It was so nice of her family to let us come over and even swim in their pool. They got to witness some toddler tantrums, hopefully they weren't too traumatized. Sunday we just hung out at home and headed back home.
This was after Jase and Jason had gone for a walk through the neighborhood. He doesn't really wear his sunglasses for long and this was too funny that he pushed them up on this head and kept them there. Just like his mama!
Packed up ready to go to Abuelita and Abuelito's house.
He just couldn't make it without falling asleep the last 30 minutes. Poor guy it was past his bedtime.
The project! Jason is in the Bobcat and the neighbor is in the huge machine.
We know what he can do if Endodontics doesn't work out!
