Who is that baby?

Many people will say that Jase either looks like Jason or some of me and Jason. Here are three photos of me when I was about Jase's age. Our noses and eye color are different but there are some similarities. What do you think?
Me and my dad and a moustache.
Me with my Abuelito.
No wonder people thought I was a boy, look at my clothes! We got to wear my cousin, Patrick's clothing.

Memorial Day Weekend

Last weekend my sister and her boyfriend came down from Boston. We had a great time visiting with them. We mostly hung out at the house and on Sunday we went to the Braves game. Jason and Jase stayed home so I was able to sit and watch the game. My parents took Jase down to the pool Saturday and we went back on Saturday. Even though the water was cold Jase had a great time swimming. It was nice having my sister come into town and see how much Jase had grown and changed. I really have popped the last couple of weeks. The baby is moving like crazy and is just kicking and punching like a madman. My stomach moves all the time but just like Jase, he especially loves to move at bedtime. Jason talks to him and that really gets him going and he punches Jason in the face.

Does he look like he is comfortable or what?!
He loves splashing in pool and the bath.
My brother and Jase's cousin, Elektra.
We need to get this guy some swimmies or a swimsuit with floaties inside it.He looks like he will be swimming soon.
I just love this view

He loves dunking the ball. Look at those shoes!
Reading with his Titi Maria
Having fun at the sink.
Maybe he will be able to help me with dishes soon. Yeah right!

He loves his abuelita.
Relaxing after swimming.
Eating watermelon for the first time. Loves it.
Elektra with her new hat, ball and bat.
Maria and Jamie still had one day left so they went to the World of Coca-Cola.
My parents celebrating their 35th anniversary! Congrats!!!!!!

Big Weekend

This weekend was our trip to Jason's brother's wedding. We drove a little over 8 hours and arrived right after midnight. Jase only slept for two hours from 9-11pm. He's not much of a car napper. Thank goodness for the portable DVD player along with his pacifier. By the time we got there he had plenty to tell his grandparents. The next day we had rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. He did so good and stayed in the high chair at dinner for three hours straight. He was fine when everyone was talking but once the room became quiet and Grandpa made a speech and everyone started clapping he became very frightened. His bedtime is 7pm and poor guy was up till 10pm. The next day was the wedding and I would say he was an angel during the ceremony but he and I went to the car so that we would not interfere in the service. At the reception he sat with us at the head table and did so good. He danced and was just in heaven with all the music. Then he took me for a walk all around the room and outside on golf course. He was so exhausted from the weekend that that night he went to sleep at 9pm and didn't get up until Jason woke him up at 10am!!!! Poor guy. We are so very happy for Brian and Betsy and wish them all the happiness in their future together.

We had our sonogram today to find out the sex of the baby and it's a BOY! The baby weighs approximately 15oz and seems to be doing good. We had both Jase and Reese with us and they were not happy that I was on the table and screamed the entire time. It was supposed to be a fun, calm experience but it turned into a stressful screamfest. Hopefully we will get to have another one before the baby comes. Maybe this time we will get the 4-D done. Needless to say we are sooooooo very excited!!
Only a face a mother could love :)
Baby was doing yoga in there. The technician thought it was funny that he had his foot on his head.
The proof is between the legs! Boy parts!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

I had a great Mother's Day weekend. I got to go shopping Saturday looking for some shoes to wear to wedding this coming weekend. It was hard work and it took a couple of days to finally find a pair that fit and looked decent. I am not sure I want to share with you the size I actually had to buy but I will anyway so that you can have a laugh for the day. Would you believe I had to buy a freaking size 12 wide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh. I normally wear a size 11 wide but I guess my feet decided to grow a lot sooner this pregnancy. Good thing for Payless shoes and Shoe Dept!! I also got a pedicure and got some sushi as a mother's day present. I hope you all had a nice weekend and here are some photos of Jase.

Hello Everyone!!!
Honey Nut Cheerios are a favorite.
Mom, What are you doing??
His new backpack harness. He loves it and asks for me to put it on him. We went for a walk yesterday in the neighborhood and he was so mad when we had to come inside.
It's a teddy bear with a pocket. This will come in handy while I try to keep him company during Jason's brother's Catholic wedding ceremony this weekend.
So we went out on the back porch to play while Jason worked in the backyard.
Mowing the wood is fun. We weren't allowed on the grass due to Jason tilling the yard and laying fertilizer and seeds.
Drinking some of mommy's non-alcoholic beer.
Trying on Daddy's protective eye wear. GIVE ME A BREAK!!

17 Months Old

Jase is still as loud as ever. He screams when he is angry, happy and for no reason at all. He just jibber jabbs all the time and to anyone that will listen. He uses his hands and face to express himself while talking. He is so friendly and lets just about anyone hold him, even someone that he has never seen before. He likes to repeat words but usually from anyone else but me. His top two molars are partially out and causing him a lot of pain coming through. The bottom two are working their way up and the gums are bulging. So needless to say we have a cranky little fellow on our hands.
Relaxing with Dad before going to bed.
Such a silly boy! (Sorry folks, still no photos of my belly. This will just have to do for this week. I keep forgetting to get a shot)
He loves riding on his Zebra toy!! He squeals and bounces and jolts around on it
This face just makes me melt and forget all the screaming and yelling he does.

He loves his Honey Nut Cheerios! (check out the cool shirt from our friends in Sweden. thanks Linda)
Reading while eating his breakfast
He is getting so big!
